How much does air conditioning cost in London?
For one room, expect roughly £1,350 to £4,500 for a split system with an outdoor condenser, around £1,595 to £1,895 for a monoblock with no outdoor unit, and £5,350 or more for a fully internal water cooled system.
Our £1,595 is a winter sale price for the first ten customers who book this winter. It goes back to £1,950 after that.

Included
- Survey and a fixed written price before anything is ordered
- The unit itself, supplied and warranted
- Two cores through the external wall, sleeved and grilled
- Mounting, levelling and anti vibration
- Condensate piped to a drain or gully
- Commissioning and app pairing
- Making good and clearing up
- VAT, because there is none to add (0% VAT applies to installs in homes until 31 March 2027)

What it costs to run
A 2.6 kW unit draws roughly 0.8 kW when it is working hard. At the current price cap of 26.32p per kWh that is around 21p an hour at full output, and much less once the room is at temperature. In winter it is the cheap one, because a heat pump returns roughly three units of warmth for every unit of electricity.
When we are the wrong call
- Your wall will take a condenser and nobody objects. A split system will be quieter, because the compressor sits outside.
- You want three or more rooms done at once. A multi split will usually beat three separate units on price and noise.
- You only want to survive one hot week. A portable is noisy and inefficient, but it is a tenth of the price.
