How loud is it?
Louder than a split system, because the compressor sits in the room. On low it is around the level of a quiet fridge, and on full it is clearly audible.
Do I need planning permission?
Very rarely, as nothing projects from the building. Check your lease with your freeholder or managing agent, and listed building consent may apply. We talk it through at the survey.
